The special assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe has refuted the story floating online that he called Pres. Jonathan the Mandela of Nigeria. He made it known in a SaharaTV interview conducted over the weekend. Dr. Okupe said the AIT television program he appeared on was recorded a day before Mandela died so he could not have said such a thing.
“Just because it was on the web does not make it right,” he said.
Dr. Okupe described President Jonathan as a unique leader in his own ways. He said the attribute that Pres. Jonathan shared with Mandela was his humble nature. “He (Jonathan) has no capacity to do evil to anyone and any man,” Okupe said to SaharaTv’s Rudolf Okonkwo.
